Important Notice

Please be advised that messages claiming to be from the Hivemind Administrators, and alleging your account has been used to send spam, with an attached zip file, are actually virus emails from malicious third-party sources. Please do not open the attached file. The network administrators will GPG sign their emails and most announcements will go to the announcements list and not directly to your account.

Services provided:

• Mail system:
  • Incoming mail protected against spam, using spamasassin, and protected against virii using ClamAV on top of exim4. Spamasassin can be switched off on specific user accounts if required (Please request from mail-admin @ hivemind.net.
  • Webmail is available to users via webmail.hivemind.net.
  • Notice for webmail users: Deleted messages and Sent messages will be kept for 7 days only. If you have a need to keep the messages for longer, please utilise the POP facility to download your messages.
  • POP3 and IMAP servers on the standard ports, as well as POP3 on port 1110, and IMAP on port 1143 (should your ISP filter the standard ports, feel free to use these). Optional TLS (Transaction-Layer Security) available.
  • Statistics on the mail system can be found here.


• DNS Hosting
  • Primary and secondary DNS hosting for various domains
  • Please request from dns-admin @ hivemind.net should you require such service.


• Web hosting
  • Website hosting is provided via apache, including support for cgi-bin, mod_perl and php4. MySQL and PostgreSQL database can be provided on request.
